Slithice used to be the pride of the Slithereen Guard, the one who led a hundred warriors with nothing but her voice and her presence. They had an oath, 'No Slithereen may fail,' and it wasn't just words—it was law. Fail, and you're out, no longer counted as one of them. For years she was untouchable, guarding the sunken cities and their treasures. But then came the battle of Crey, when a swarm of levianths attacked, looking for tribute for their god Maelrawn. Her forces got pushed back, and after the fight, when they counted the losses, a single jeweled chalice was missing from the hoard. She and a handful of her Guard survived, but that didn't matter. Treasure gone, honor gone. So they cast her out. Now she wanders, hunting for that chalice, knowing that no amount of gold she brings back will ever balance the scales.
