Techies Demolitions has the worst track record in the history of Dredger's Bight, which is saying something, because Dredger's Bight no longer exists. Neither does Toterin, or Trapper Town, for that matter. You might notice a pattern: wherever Techies go, towns tend to vanish. The end of their home city was no different. Three pyrotechnic prodigies named Squee, Spleen, and Spoon were tasked with making mine detonations safer, so they invented a button that could trigger a distant bomb. To test it, they packed their workshop full of flamesalt barrels and buried one out in a field. When Spleen pressed the button, nothing happened at first. He kept pressing, and finally a distant explosion tore open the earth. The two others cheered, but the blast wave soon knocked them off their feet, and when they looked back, their workshop was a smoking crater, and the whole city was collapsing into the mines below. As residents fled in panic, the trio sat at the edge of the growing hole, grinning and laughing, already thinking of how to make an even bigger bang.
