Fairies in children's stories are cute and helpful. In reality, most are petty and cruel, and Mireska Sunbreeze is one of the worst. Her father was a fae merchant king in the scheming city of Revtel, where backstabbing was practically a social skill. Mireska learned all the rules of that game, but she found it all dreadfully dull. So, like any rebellious fairy with too much privilege, she burned down the family estate, grabbed her wisp companion Jex, and hit the road to become a wandering con artist. She's been grifting ever since, and she's having a great time.
