Lore

To become a shadow priest, you have to pass the rite of shades, a trip into the Nothl Realm that not everyone comes back from. Some return insane, some with odd powers, but nobody leaves unchanged. Dazzle was the youngest of his tribe to ever ask for the ritual, and the elders said no at first because he was too young. But he wouldn't take no for an answer, and the elders saw something in him, so they let him go through with it. He drank the sacred potion and sat by the fire as the tribe danced around him. In the Nothl Realm, light and dark are flipped, so his healing magic looks pure to us but is actually a form of evil, and his darkest attacks appear as a brilliant glow. He came back as a shadow priest unlike any other, able to mend his allies and break his enemies. That's how he uses his gift now.
