He's forgotten his name, a shambling wreck of a warrior whose mind is long gone. He remembers riding with banners, then being pulled from his horse into the Dead God's pit. In that darkness, time and thought vanished, leaving only hunger. They turned on each other, and then the Dirge began—a sound that filled his mind until nothing else remained. The Dead God chose him, not for destruction, but for war. He became the Undying, a herald to spread the Dirge and raise the dead against the living. He will rise and fall forever, so that the Dirge never ends.
