How to Adjust Cursor Size and Visibility in Dota 2

Make the Dota 2 cursor easier to see with current interface, display and operating-system settings.

A visible cursor matters during fights because item slots, the minimap and small units demand precise clicks. The safest changes use current menu controls and display settings. Replacing game files with an unknown cursor package can break after an update.

Move between the minimap, inventory and several units. The pointer should remain visible without covering important icons.

Use the current method

Open the interface or advanced options page and look for the cursor-size control available in the current client. Increase it one step at a time.

Keep the game at the monitor’s native resolution when possible. Check Windows display scaling if the cursor looks very small outside the game as well.

Use a color-blind or high-contrast interface option when the cursor disappears against spell effects. Test the change in a crowded demo fight.

Check that the change worked

Check borderless and exclusive full-screen modes. Display scaling can behave differently between them.

Restart the client after a display-mode change. Confirm that the chosen cursor size survives the restart.

Avoid common problems

Do not download executable cursor installers from an unknown site. Cursor visibility is not worth risking the Steam account.

Old launch options may no longer affect the current interface. Remove an option when it has no visible result.

A large cursor can hide small targets. Choose the smallest size that stays visible during real combat effects.

Final check before a normal match

Repeat the method once in a fresh private lobby. Confirm the visible result, then return every temporary setting to its normal value. This short check prevents a practice command or experimental control from affecting the next ordinary game.

Game menus and internal commands can change after an update. When the current client does not show an option described here, use the visible replacement instead of forcing an old file or command. The saved post remains a draft so an editor can confirm the current interface before publication.
