Guilds give regular groups a shared name, chat and member list. A guild is separate from a temporary party and from a professional team registration. Joining rules depend on the guild’s privacy and available places.
The guild name and chat should appear after a successful join. Restart the social panel if the member list has not refreshed.
Use the current method
Open the guild area from the main client and search for the exact name or tag. Read the language, region and membership rules.
Join an open guild directly or send a request when approval is required. Wait for an officer rather than sending repeated invitations.
To leave, open the guild member or settings menu and choose the leave action. Confirm only after checking whether you hold an officer role.
Check that the change worked
Check guild permissions before inviting another player. Ordinary members may not have the right to approve requests.
After leaving, confirm that the old guild chat and tag no longer appear. A new invitation may still arrive later.

Avoid common problems
A full guild cannot accept a new member until a place is available. This is not a client error.
Leaving may transfer or remove leadership according to the current guild rules. Assign another leader first when the menu requires it.
Never follow an external login link sent through guild chat. Guild membership does not require sharing Steam credentials.
Final check before a normal match
Repeat the method once in a fresh private lobby. Confirm the visible result, then return every temporary setting to its normal value. This short check prevents a practice command or experimental control from affecting the next ordinary game.
Game menus and internal commands can change after an update. When the current client does not show an option described here, use the visible replacement instead of forcing an old file or command. The saved post remains a draft so an editor can confirm the current interface before publication.
