Ranked recalibration asks the matchmaking system to reassess an account with lower confidence in its current rating. It is not a fixed set of bonus games and does not promise a higher medal. The current client shows whether the option is available.
Watch Rank Confidence and MMR together after each match. Larger changes can occur while confidence is low.
Use the current method
Open the ranked account settings and read the recalibration notice before activating it. Do not rely on an old seasonal schedule.
Activate the option only when the client offers it and you are ready to complete ranked matches. The action may have a cooldown or limited availability.
Play normal roles and heroes rather than forcing unusual statistics. Match results and the system’s confidence matter more than one visible number.
Check that the change worked
The medal may update after the underlying rating crosses a boundary. Public medal tables are estimates, not permanent Valve thresholds.
Review the result across several games. One match cannot show the final direction of a recalibration period.

Avoid common problems
Recalibration cannot remove behavior restrictions or account bans. Those systems have separate rules.
Do not pay a third party to complete the process. Account sharing risks both security and matchmaking penalties.
The button may be absent when the account is not eligible. There is no safe console command that forces server-side recalibration.
Final check before a normal match
Repeat the method once in a fresh private lobby. Confirm the visible result, then return every temporary setting to its normal value. This short check prevents a practice command or experimental control from affecting the next ordinary game.
Game menus and internal commands can change after an update. When the current client does not show an option described here, use the visible replacement instead of forcing an old file or command. The saved post remains a draft so an editor can confirm the current interface before publication.
