A private lobby lets players test damage against Roshan without waiting through a full match. The spawned unit is useful for checking attacks and spells, but it does not reproduce every rule of the natural boss encounter.
The spawned unit should appear near the cursor or selected test position. An enemy unit can take damage from the selected hero.
Use the current method
Create a private lobby, enable cheats and start the normal Dota map. Move the selected hero to a clear test area before entering a command.
Enter -createhero roshan enemy in team chat to create an enemy Roshan unit. Use -createhero roshan when you specifically need an allied test unit.
Use -refresh between attempts and remove extra test units before a new run. Keep the hero level, items and Roshan position the same for each comparison.
Check that the change worked
Compare a fixed number of attacks instead of judging one critical hit. Record armor changes, attack modifiers and the time needed for the test.
Run a separate natural-pit test when you need to study rewards, day and night movement, lair rules or the real respawn window.

Avoid common problems
The command requires lobby cheats. A normal bot match or public match will reject it.
A spawned Roshan is a test unit, not a complete replacement for the live objective. Do not use it to confirm every drop or map interaction.
Patch changes can alter internal commands. If the unit does not appear, restart the client and test a fresh standard lobby before changing the command.
Final check before a normal match
Repeat the method once in a fresh private lobby. Confirm the visible result, then return every temporary setting to its normal value. This short check prevents a practice command or experimental control from affecting the next ordinary game.
Game menus and internal commands can change after an update. When the current client does not show an option described here, use the visible replacement instead of forcing an old file or command. The saved post remains a draft so an editor can confirm the current interface before publication.
